Having experienced significant growth in recent years Tipolitografia Zardini needed to expand its facilities and not long ago moved into their state-of-the-art multi-story headquarters in Marano di Valpolicella. The building features modern aesthetics and expansive glass walls, and so demanded a fire detection system that seamlessly integrated with the beautiful architecture of the building and its interior design.

To safeguard their valuable assets and ensure employee safety, Tipolitografia Zardini partnered with CUBI IMPIANTI TECNOLOGICI, an experienced fire protection specialist in the local area. They opted for a high-performance and aesthetically pleasing solution from Hochiki Italia.

Tipolitografia Zardini's multi-story headquarters received a tailored fire detection system. The basement parking area is now protected by ACD multi-sensors (CO detection) from the ESP intelligent range.

The housing production lines, relaxation areas, canteens, offices, and meeting rooms, is secured by a combination of Ekho hybrid wireless and ESP wired sensors. The upper floor offices and meeting rooms are totally protected by the Ekho hybrid wireless range, ensuring coverage in an area where traditional wired fire protection was not possible. The entire system, both wired and wireless, is centrally managed by Hochiki’s Latitude fire control panel for efficient monitoring and operation.

Ezio Danese, Project Manager, commented:

“The Ekho system proved to be ideal for this project due to its flexibility. Across the building the team faced challenges with the flooring, external walls and office patricians being made entirely of glass. In addition, the presence of so many different areas would have required the use of many translators. The Ekho mesh technology easily overcame all these challenges.”

Hochiki Italia's solution offers numerous benefits to Tipolitografia Zardini. The system ensures uncompromised safety from its reliable 24/7 monitoring for fire incidents, protecting both employees and valuable equipment whilst at the same time reducing false alarms. The chosen sensors seamlessly integrate with the modern design of the building, maintaining aesthetic appeal. The combination of Ekho wireless and ESP wired devices provides adaptable and flexible protection, even in areas with complex layouts. Whilst the centralised Latitude panel simplifies system control, offering a unified platform for efficient monitoring and operation.

Tipolitografia Zardini's experience exemplifies Hochiki Italia's commitment to delivering innovative and aesthetically pleasing fire detection solutions that prioritise not only safety but also design integration.
