Annually the KWIB Awards celebrates the fantastic achievements of business women in the county of Kent. We are delighted that this year Katie Walker, HR Manager for Hochiki Europe (UK) has been shortlisted as a finalist in not one, but two categories – Leadership & Management and Resilience.
Because of the life safety systems Hochiki is renowned for, it has been so important for the company to remain open and operational during the difficult pandemic period. During this time, Katie and the Human Resources team have provided essential support to our people, ensuring that Hochiki Europe has been operating safely and in line with COVID-19 secure protocols.
Katie commented:
"Hochiki Europe has pulled together during this challenging time and through a huge team effort we have been able to support the national COVID response effort. Our people can be extremely proud of how we have kept the business operational, with many people going the extra mile and displaying our company values. The last year has been a testament to what we can achieve through teamwork and being resilient."
Looking ahead to the future, Katie is also keen to ensure that in line with Hochiki Europe's brand values, the balance of equality within the workplace continues to be high on the agenda.
